A Barbershopper since age 9, Alex has sung in choruses and multiple quartets over his nearly 30-year barbershop singing career. He's won four Florida state quartet championships on three different voice-parts and in his current quartet, Throwback, he sings baritone. Throwback is the current 2019 2nd Place Silver Medalist quartet in the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Alex has directed four men's choruses in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, including a competition-only chorus, THX, and HD Chorus, an under-25 youth chorus. Alex joined Women of Note in May 2019, his first foray into the world of Sweet Adelines.
Professionally Alex works for Webgraph, a tech-focused consultancy he founded with his brother Dan in 2001. Their many years in the field have them consulting on projects from design to data-driven solutions in a broad range of industries, with clients both in the United States and abroad.
Alex and his lovely wife Jennifer live in Fort Lauderdale, FL and have three wonderful children, Emma, Jake and Kate. When not travelling for work or Barbershopping, Alex enjoys spending family time at Disney, camping and being on the water canoeing, rowing, and sailing.
Kim’s musical education started in middle school and continued through high school where she performed in choruses, swing choirs, stage bands and did solo work. Throughout her 25+ year history with Sweet Adelines, she has enjoyed being a member (singing Lead and Bass) and leader in all size choruses as well as a quartet singer. As a lifelong student, she takes her experiences being coached and attends many events and classes, to continue improving her own skills. These life experiences guide her coaching and teaching style.
Kim was the Bass of Heatwave (2006 8th Place Int’l Medallists) and Fireworks Quartets. She joined Bling! in June of 2008 and won gold with them in Baltimore in 2014. She was a member and Associate Director of the Women of Note Chorus when they won the small chorus champion award at the 2005 SAI Harmony Classic, and recently re-joined the directing staff. Kim is also a member and Assistant Director of Spirit of the Gulf (2022 5th Place Int’l Medallist), a Certified Director, and Region 9 RMT/Education Coordinator and Education Faculty member.
